Jameel Motors South Africa, the official distributor of Changan vehicles in South Africa, has celebrated the opening of the Jameel Motors-Changan new flagship dealership in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal, marking another important milestone in the brand’s growing national presence.
The opening follows the launch of Changan’s flagship showroom in Pretoria in October 2025 and represents another step in strengthening the brand’s footprint in South Africa.
Located at 60 Meridian Drive, Umhlanga, the new facility supports Changan’s expanding dealer network and reflects Jameel Motors South Africa’s commitment to building long-term customer support, local partnerships and operational infrastructure across the market.
Developed in line with Changan’s global modern contemporary Corporate Identity standards, the showroom welcomes visitors offering an integrated customer experience across vehicle sales, servicing, parts and aftersales support. The investment has also contributed to local economic development through permanent employment opportunities across sales, aftersales, parts and administration.
The Umhlanga dealership forms part of Changan’s broader national expansion strategy, which aims to establish approximately 45 dealerships across South Africa during 2026.
Since Changan’s launch in the South African market in late 2025, Jameel Motors South Africa has continued to support the brand’s growth journey, helping build the foundations for a sustainable and customer-focused presence.
The launch event was attended by Jasmine Wong, Chief Executive Officer, Jameel Motors, alongside senior representatives from Changan and Jameel Motors South Africa. Reflecting on the opening, Jasmine said:
