Jameel Motors marks 20 years in Egypt

Jameel Motors is celebrating 20 years of operations in Egypt, marking two decades of growth, customer trust and successful partnerships with leading global automotive brands.  

What we know today as Jameel Motors, originally began its journey in the Egyptian automotive market with Japanese automotive brand Daihatsu and later, from 2013-2023, Ford passenger vehicles, before expanding its operations to include HINO commercial vehicles, which continue to support businesses across the country.  

In 2017, Jameel Motors further strengthened its presence through Ford passenger vehicles and Ford Trucks.

In 2023, Jameel Motors became the official distributor of GAC in Egypt, beginning a new chapter in its local growth journey and introducing a broader range of vehicles and mobility solutions to Egyptian customers.

This began with the construction of the flagship GAC facility at Abu Rawash, Giza, Egypt:

This 20-year milestone reflects Jameel Motors’ broader international automotive experience, underpinned by more than 80 years of industry expertise and a presence across 12 markets.  

Through this international network, the brand partners with leading passenger and commercial vehicle brands worldwide.   Its passenger vehicle distribution portfolio includes Toyota, Lexus, MG Motor, GAC, AION, BYD, Geely Auto and Zeekr.  

Commercial vehicle portfolio includes Farizon Auto across multiple markets, HINO Trucks and Ford Trucks in Egypt, as well as JMC in Morocco.

Jameel Motors’ partnership with GAC International also extends beyond Egypt to other key international markets, including the AION brand in the United Kingdom and GAC brand in Poland, reflecting its proven capability as a trusted partner to the world’s most renowned and fastest growing automotive brands across diverse markets.

In Egypt, Jameel Motors has continued to build strong momentum for GAC through an integrated network of five main branches and more than 18 authorized dealers across the country.  This growing presence has been matched by strong commercial performance and industry recognition, including GAC’s Outstanding Distributor Golden Award, the number one position in GAC sales across Africa and 142% growth during the first half of 2026.

This progress follows further recognition at the 2026 Egypt Car of the Year Awards, where Jameel Motors Egypt received the Strategic Growth Excellence Award, while the GAC EMPOW was named Egypt’s Best-Selling Chinese Luxury Mid-Size Sedan.
