Jameel Motors is celebrating the first anniversary of Geely Auto in Italy, marking a year of strong growth, an expanding nationwide network and an ongoing commitment to creating a positive impact in local communities.

Since Jameel Motors Italia introduced the Geely Auto range into the market in summer 2025, more than 3,000 customers have started their journey and continue to enjoy sustainable motoring with the high-tech Geely EX% and Starray EM-I confident in the support of a dedicated network across 70 sales and service locations nationwide.  This rapidly growing network is expected to reach around 100 locations during the coming year.

The Geely Starray EM-i Super Hybrid has accounted for approximately 90% of orders and has positioned the brand among the leading players in Italy’s private C-SUV plug-in hybrid segment.

To celebrate the milestone, Jameel Motors and Geely returned to Naples, where the brand’s Italian journey began, to launch the ‘Urban Renaissance’ initiative in collaboration with Fondazione Foqus.

As part of the initiative, a fully electric Geely EX5 and an A2A charging wallbox were donated to the foundation.  The vehicle will be used to transport vulnerable members of the community to the Ospedale del Mare hospital, helping make mobility more accessible and supporting greater inclusion and quality of life.

The initiative reflects the evolution of Geely’s Italian journey from ‘Technological Renaissance’, the concept that supported its market launch, to ‘Urban Renaissance’, where technology and mobility are used to generate meaningful social value.

“When we began this journey one year ago, our ambition was not simply to introduce a new automotive brand to Italy.  We wanted to build a credible, lasting and relevant presence,” said Marco Santucci, Managing Director of Jameel Motors Italia.  “The collaboration with Fondazione Foqus perfectly represents the evolution of our journey, where innovation and mobility become practical tools for generating social value.“

Fady Jameel, Vice Chairman, International, Abdul Latif Jameel, said: “Italy is one of Jameel Motors’ most important and strategic markets in Europe.  Geely’s first year demonstrates the strength of the collaboration between a global automotive manufacturer at the forefront of innovation and a distribution partner with extensive international experience.”

Looking ahead, Geely will continue expanding its portfolio in Italy.  The fully electric Geely E2 compact city car is expected to arrive in autumn 2026, followed by new full-hybrid i-HEV powertrains in 2027.

Geely’s first year in Italy marks an important milestone in Jameel Motors’ continued growth across Europe, combining innovative mobility solutions with strong local partnerships and a long-term commitment to the communities it serves.
