BYD Türkiye wins GIGI 2026 Award for Technology Show

BYD Türkiye, part of Jameel Motors, has received the Launch Experience Award at the GIGI (Good Idea Good Integration) Awards 2026 for its BYD Technology Show, featuring the YANGWANG U8 and U9.

The project also received the highest score across all award categories, recognising the success of BYD Türkiye’s approach to showcasing advanced automotive technologies through live demonstrations.

Organised under the leadership of Türkiye’s Marketing Communicators Association, the GIGI Awards recognise excellence in marketing communications, creativity and innovation, celebrating projects that successfully connect brands with their audiences.

Held in Istanbul in September 2025, the BYD Technology Show marked the first European showcase of the YANGWANG U8 luxury SUV and U9 electric supercar.  Under the theme ‘In the Air, on Land & in Water’, the event featured live demonstrations of the U8’s amphibious capabilities and 360-degree Tank Turn, alongside the U9’s jumping, dancing and rotation capabilities.

This latest recognition marks another achievement for BYD Türkiye, which earlier this year celebrated outstanding sales performance and secured three Gladiators Awards, further highlighting its success in the Turkish automotive market.
