Jameel Motors and Toyota Build on Nearly 30 Years of Collaboration in China

Senior leaders from Abdul Latif Jameel and Toyota recently gathered in Beijing where they discussed future plans and reaffirmed a shared commitment to delivering quality, reliability and exceptional service to customers.

The meeting reflects a long-standing relationship of trust, which dates back more than 70 years to when Abdul Latif Jameel Motors was appointed as the authorized Toyota distributor in Saudi Arabia.

Toyota is also represented across six key international markets including China, Algeria, Japan, Monaco and Morocco through Jameel Motors, the international automotive distributor and mobility solutions provider.

The meeting served to reinforce their continued focus on delivering world-class mobility solutions across international markets, including China, one of the most dynamic automotive markets globally.

Jameel Motors has worked with Toyota in China for almost 30 years, steadily expanding its presence since establishing operations in 1998.  Today, the business operates in six locations across the country, supporting the distribution and retail of Toyota and Lexus vehicles, while delivering award-winning customer experiences shaped by a ‘guest first’ philosophy.

The collaboration is underpinned by a continuous commitment to innovation, quality and service, and remains guided by a shared spirit of continuous improvement – kaizen. This dedication to excellence has been recognized through accolades over the years, most recently it includes Toyota’s highest award, the ‘Outstanding Dealer Group’ award, presented at the FAW-Toyota Motor Sales (FTMS) annual dealer conference in Chengdu, in January 2025.
