Changan South Africa is set to showcase its growing presence in South Africa at the 2026 WesBank Festival of Motoring, taking place from 28 to 30 August at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg.  Jameel Motors South Africa, the official distributor of Changan in the country, will use the event to introduce two new vehicles and unveil an entirely new light commercial vehicle range for the South African market.

Under the theme “Driven to Evolve. Designed to Lead,” Jameel Motors South Africa will offer visitors a hands-on look at its expanding Changan portfolio, including self-drive opportunities across selected models and dedicated off-road experiences in the Hunter K50 REEV and Hunter F70 bakkies.  The brand will also host interactive activities across its exhibition areas, creating opportunities for consumers to experience its vehicles and technologies firsthand.

The showcase comes as Chinese automotive brands continue to gain momentum in the country.  According to Changan South Africa, Chinese manufacturers accounted for nearly 20% of new vehicle sales in the country during the first quarter of 2026, reflecting growing consumer interest in their technology, product offering and value proposition.
