Greaves Electric Mobility wins major industry recognition in India

Greaves Electric Mobility has reached another important milestone, with its family e-scooter, the Ampere Magnus Grand, being named Electric Scooter of the Year 2026 at the Bike India Awards. The recognition reinforces Greaves Electric Mobility’s growing reputation for delivering practical, reliable and accessible electric mobility solutions tailored to the everyday needs of Indian riders.

This achievement comes as Greaves Electric Mobility continues to build momentum in one of the world’s most dynamic electric mobility markets. Abdul Latif Jameel’s strategic investment in the company reflects its broader commitment to supporting affordable and cleaner mobility solutions across the Global South. Through an investment of up to US$220 million, including an initial US$150 million in 2022, Abdul Latif Jameel became Greaves Electric Mobility’s second-largest shareholder, underlining the long-term potential of India’s fast-growing electric two and three-wheeler market.

For Jameel Motors, this achievement highlights the importance of backing high-potential mobility businesses that serve real market needs at scale. India is one of the world’s most significant growth markets for affordable electric mobility, particularly in the two-wheeler segment, where accessibility, durability and everyday practicality are essential to mass adoption.
The Ampere Magnus Grand highlights Greaves Electric Mobility’s focus on delivering accessible, reliable and relevant EV solutions for the Indian market. This recognition further reinforces the company’s position in India’s growing electric mobility sector and aligns with Abdul Latif Jameel’s broader ambition to advance affordable and sustainable mobility in high-growth markets.
