M. Arif Chishti

M. Arif Chishti is Managing Director of Abdul Latif Jameel Machinery, part of Abdul Latif Jameel, a collective of independent international, family-owned and diversified businesses, founded in 1945 by the late Abdul Latif Jameel.

Mr. Chishti oversees Abdul Latif Jameel’s machinery businesses worldwide and is on the board of Abdul Latif Jameel Summit Company, a joint venture company offering construction, mining and power solutions to industry.

He is also on the executive committee of Abdul Latif Jameel Industrial Equipment Company which offers materials handling and warehousing solutions.

Arif Chishti joined the Abdul Latif Jameel in 2013 as Managing Director and started up the operations of Abdul Latif Jameel Summit Company with Komatsu Construction & Mining machinery as the core product.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Chishti worked successfully across the Middle East & Asia regions with leading brands of heavy machinery and commercial vehicles including Caterpillar and Volvo and has over 30 years of deep experience in set-up and driving commercial vehicles and heavy machinery dealerships to profitability.

Arif graduated from University of Maiduguri, Nigeria with a bachelor’s degree in civil and water resources engineering, and from the European University, France with an MBA in international management.  He also attended IMD business school Switzerland.  He speaks English, Urdu and Hausa.
