Yazeed Al-Rajhi crowned the winner of Rally Qassim 2024

Saudi rally champion and Jameel Motorsport ambassador Yazeed Al Rajhi was crowned the winner of Rally Qassim part of the Saudi Toyota Championship 2024, organized by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) from Oct. 23 to 26.

Al Rajhi – who has won the title three times previously – concluded the rally competition with German co-driver Timo Gottschalk on the Toyota Hilux . The rally included two distinctive stages with a total distance of 611 kilometers, with the final stage taking place during heavy rainfall which added to the atmosphere but also created unique challenges to the drivers.

Al Rajhi expressed his commitment to the event, saying:” I am thrilled with this achievement in Rally Qassim – a four-time champion; this victory is an important step in our journey towards winning the Saudi Toyota Championship again.”

“In this rally we tested several modifications to the car’s suspension system, which gives us more confidence ahead of the Dakar Rally challenge.” He added.

Al Rajhi extended his special thanks to strategic partner, Jameel Motorsport, for their support and sponsorship during his participation in rallies on the global, regional and local stages.

Timo Gottschalk added: “I am proud to achieve this victory with Yazeed. The atmosphere was great, the competition was strong. The driving experience in the rain on the last stage was special and a big challenge and reminded us of the Dakar Rally.”

With this victory, Yazeed Al Rajhi continues to strengthen his position as one of the most prominent rally champions in Saudi Arabia, aiming to achieve new milestones in his upcoming participation in the Dakar Rally 2025.
