Abdul Latif Jameel’s Deputy President and Vice Chairman Hassan Jameel joined other key partners of Akio Toyoda’s ROOKIE Racing Team for a thrilling two-day rally and track race driving experience in Japan.
Abdul Latif Jameel has been a proud sponsor of ROOKIE Racing since April 2023, as part of Jameel Motorsport – the collaboration marks an exciting milestone for mutual growth and success in the motorsports industry – extending an arm from Saudi Arabia globally. ROOKIE Racing is privately owned by the Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, Akio Toyoda.
The two days were filled with exhilaration, excitement and learning.
Day 1, at Gamagori Dart Course, included rally driving skills training in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Yaris and GT86, as well as the chance to hone driving techniques with the skills professional ROOKIE Racing team drivers.
Day 2 moves to Shimoyama Test Course, beginning with track techniques using a training simulator before taking the powerful Lexus LC Coupe onto the track for some high-speed fun.
Hassan Jameel, along with other ROOKIE Racing partners were left with a new appreciation of what it really takes to be a racing champion.
With both its hydrogen-powered engine and range of carbon-neutral fuel vehicles, the ROOKIE Racing team are leading the way in showcasing a significant step forward in promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in motorsports.
It is a clear message to the industry and fans alike that it is possible to race while being environmentally conscious.
