Dania Akeel: the origins of a champion

When Dania Akeel lifted the trophy of the FIA Middle East Baja Cup 2024 rally championship, she lifted the hearts and minds of thousands of fans and supporters in her home country of Saudi Arabia, around the Middle East region, and far beyond. 

As a Jameel Motorsport ambassador and inspirational athlete, the year was most definitely a defining chapter in her ever-evolving story.

In two new videos released this month, part of a series celebrating her achievements and relationships with both Jameel Motors and Jameel Motorsport, we examine the power of partnership in sport, what it means to live like a champion, and find out who the real Dania is behind her rallying successes.

Here, Dania tells us her own story, her journey from a young girl, fascinated with speed, and learning to ride on her family’s quad and dirt bikes, to FIA international champion: “It was just that connection with the machine!” she tells us.

In the final episode of this mini-series, we catch up again with Dania Akeel as she shares some of her interests in a world outside motorsport.
