BYD Türkiye marks an era of evolution with new models launches
BYD, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of new energy vehicles (plug in hybrid & electric), is accelerating its growth in the Turkish market. The brand has expanded its product range in Turkey to six models by adding four new models to its existing lineup. Known for its advanced technology and environmentally friendly performance, BYD aims to meet consumer expectations and further strengthen its position in the industry in this new era.
In November, BYD relaunched the fully electric C-SUV ATTO 3, with new features and new price. The D-SUV plug-in hybrid model SEAL U DM-i was also presented to customers at a refreshed price. Further expanding its product portfolio, BYD introduced the hatchback model DOLPHIN and the fully electric D-SUV model SEAL U EV. The brand continued to expand its product lineup in Turkey by launching the E-segment sedan HAN and the D-segment sedan SEAL in December, increasing its total product range to six models.
The launches were celebrated at a glittering event at the Rixos Tersane in Istanbul, where over 600 years of the city’s rich heritage was combined with the ultimate in modern luxury, to showcase innovation and the future of mobility.
ALJ Türkiye, the official distributor of BYD in the country (and part of Jameel Motors), was joined by VIP guests including representatives of the 25-strong national dealer network, senior personnel from BYD, as well as more than 120 journalists and influencers who were eager to see the model reveals. In the immediate aftermath of the launch event, in less than 10 days, more than 10,000 customer enquiries had been received, registering interest buying the BYD models.
The event marks an important step in strengthening BYD’s footprint in the Turkish automotive market; the brand will further strengthen its ‘accessible premium’ brand positioning with competitive prices. With the new models, BYD will continue to make a difference in the new electric vehicle world by offering high performance and environmentally friendly options suitable for every customer in Türkiye.
